My Top 7 Benefits of Video Marketing For Small Businesses
Video marketing is definitely the way forward for your business. I’m not saying that lightly either, I do have facts to back me. For example: Did you know video posts on Facebook have 135% greater organic reach than photo posts? Not to mention social video generates 1200% more shares than text and images COMBINED, and by including video on a landing page you can increase conversion rates by 80%! And yet, many small businesses are enjoying the benefits of video marketing.
I can understand why. As a business owner, you have your hands in all sorts of jars, whether that’s controlling the finances, getting in clients, or even trying your hand at a little bit of marketing.
It can be overwhelming when everyone is telling you that you should be using this marketing method, or that marketing method, oh you’re not using this? Why not?!
I get it I do.
But I believe I can change your mind on video marketing, by showcasing how simple and easy it can be to add in to your marketing strategy, and by adding in the benefits of video marketing which I’ll talk about in this short numbered list.
So without further ado let’s get started.
1. Increase your brand awareness
You want to stand out from your competitors, and video is a perfect way to do so.
Videos are more engaging than any other form of content, as shown from the stats in my first paragraph, and by creating videos you can easily get your brand across to potential customers. After all, 72% of people would rather use video to learn about a product or service, so why not use it to teach people about your business.
2. Reveal your brands personality
I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I hate more than going on my newsfeed and seeing posts that were written like a robot created the brands content.
There’s nothing with injecting a little life and personality into your companies brand, and video, does just that. By seeing the members of a company, or hearing their voices over an animation, you help humanise your brand.
3. Convey information easier
Got a amazing product that’s pretty difficult to explain through text? Sometimes creating a video and talking about your products features can be easier for potential customers to understand.
Not just that, but creating a video explaining your company and what you do, can help you grab your customers attention in a few seconds. The benefits of video marketing have many perks, and this is just one of them.
4. Boost your social media engagement
Did you know Facebook engagement is highest on posts with videos? In fact most people believe that by 2019, most of the internet will be video, and that’s inclusive of social media.
It’s entertaining to watch a video, and it can be informative too. Most times, people interact more with videos, than any other form of content, because it relays the information in a more visual way.
5. Video can be easy to produce
You don’t need a fancy camera, or the highest end equipment to produce a great video.
It’s very easy to instead, take out your phone, and start recording. Not only can you make a video with your mobile phone, but if you create a live video you won’t even need to edit!
6. Get ahead of the curve
If you get ahead of the game with video, it will benefit your business so much. You’ll be producing great video content, and building yourself as a video producer, before it hits that 80% in 2019, therefore you’ll have longer to establish yourself.
7. Increase your website traffic
The effects of website traffic and video are very closely linked, and the folks at Marketing Sherpa have some stats to back that up.
I will say this, however, including video on a landing page can increase conversion rates by 80%, so it’s certainly a great addition to have, and certainly one of the benefits of video marketing.
The benefits of video marketing…are you convinced?
There are plenty more benefits I could say, but I will say this. I’m so convinced video is the correct way forward and a great part of a marketing strategy, that I’ve included it in my own.
You can see some of the videos I’ve created on my Facebook page, I hope you find the information useful, and maybe even consider including it in your own strategy.
